Learning How to Build

I'm Jeff Klaus (Klaus rhymes with House) and I have had a hammer in my hand from the time I was a boy working on my dad’s construction projects. My dad was a contractor and a construction engineer and we mainly did remodeling until I went to college. 

As a young man I spent 5 years in the financial services for Bank of America and later I worked over 15 years as a partner with my father-in-law in the Residential Construction Business.

I'm a Husband & Father.

I have been Married for almost 21 years and my wife and I have Five, (Yes 5!) somewhat awesome kids. We have made education and strong values the cornerstone of our family.

My wife has seen to it that all play the piano and a couple now play guitar. We also love many activities from camping, kayaking and swimming to volleyball, tennis and basketball.

Family is the most important thing to me and we are a traditional family that eats dinner together most every night!

"Would I Buy this Home?"

Over the last 7 years I have often been asked, "Would You Buy This Home?" I look at homes from a Builder and Remodeler's view. If you're a Buyer, I will point out the areas that are of concern from structural, functional, safety and from aesthetics...  I want to ensure that you're not buying "THE MONEY PIT!" and answer the question, "What will the Resale be in 5 years?

When I work with a home seller the same advice is very useful... "If I were a Buyer for my own home, Would I buy it?" I look for the areas that can enhance the sale of the home for the most amount of money in the shortest time.
